Not only is he the fastest guy in the lites class but he also has matured a lot over the past year. Gone is the constant nervous laugh and smile to be replaced with an occasional smile at the right time and an abbundance of self confidense. Stareing the interviewer in the eye as if to burn a hole through their forehead and giving, clear concise answers.

I dont know if he remembers how strong he finished the 11' sx season or if he did something in the off-season to gain this jump ahead in maturity. Hell, maybe he finally had relations with a chick...though that tends to have a negative effect on most guys riding. Whats the old story Rodney Barrs dad used to tell when asked why his son wasnt doing as well as once thought..."Its hard to go fast with a boner"?

Anyways, he should win the west coast series and we'll see what he has for the outdoors vs. the powerful pc guys.

He is prepared and determined. I think he will mature into on the sports top guys. His style is solid, his fitness and mental preparation are tops. He is definitely gaining experience and I know he has to have good people around him because of his parents. Reminds me of Canard, but a more rounded program with more elite experience in his inner circle because of his dad.

Curious to see how he does outdoors this year. He seems to have a lot of issues with the heat. Must be a body type thing, as my stepson is built just like him and he too suffers in the heat much more so than most.Vomitting, light headed, etc.

I too think he will be one of the stars in the sx class someday. Hes just too fast and really seems to have a good head on his shoulders and the all important support system of people around him.

I vote no on giving Eli a 450 ride on the east coast. Get that kid a title on the west coast 250's first then next year...assuming he stays in the lites, give him an opposite coast 450 experience.

Eli clearly looks a little bigger this year, ...broader shouldered I mean. And he really uses those broader shoulders well. He just man handles the bike when it gets out of shape. His elbows are way up and hes way over the front. Mucho aggressive rideing style. I'm diggin it.
