I know sometimes if you search iTunes when a new show comes out, it won't show the new show, but if you right click your subscription in your podcasts and select "show new episodes" it will appear usually. Usually Steve and I coordinate the Pulp posting and the iTunes update but iTunes cache issues are a real bitch, especially on Windows computers. There have been many times where Steve gets an email about a show not appearing in iTunes and the user literally has had to restart their computer 2 times before it finally flushes the iTunes cache and the show appears.
Now, regarding the multiple subscription's in iTunes thing. This stems from how iTunes handles updated subscription source files. We updated once when I cleaned up a bunch of the xml a while ago, adding song credits to the show descriptions(hoping it would cut down on emails about song questions- didn't happen). Recently they were updated again to allow for statistics tracking. If your a stickler for a clean iTunes library appearance as I am and you have fast internet, I just delete all my podcasts, re-subscribe and download again, They will all group together again.
Hope I answered your question.

Ok ... here's the thing .... When PulpMX announces a new podcast on PulpMX.com it has a link to iTunes. When I follow the link it has me in iTunes but not logged in. At this time my iTunes does not yet have this episode available so I download the item generically.
After doing this several times I now have so many iTunes podcast categories it has become hard to sort out. I have Pulpmx Classic Commentaries 3 times, The Pulpmx show category 4 times and The Steve Matthes Show 3 times. All a bit messy and my iPhone reflect this !!
There are greater challenges facing mankind, I know ... but is there a way to consolidate all these duplications ? Is there a way to avoid them in the future ? Is there a reason for the time lag before iTunes has them available to me as a subscriber ?
