Brawndo? Why? Does anyone have any insight into this?

Does anyone know why this is a good idea to bring a fictional drink from a mediocre movie to the market. I am glad for Ryan Clark and for Mike Battista have funding to their team but not so sure this will be a hit energy drink.

Honestly, I thought it was a joke as well.
I thought it was a real drink
Good thing i didnt go up to the team to ask them for a can.
They were passing the stuff out at the races , just samples , pretty nasty yellow stuff tastes like bubble gum and swizzle sticks.
I thought it was a joke too. but they have graphics Team Shirts and the Semi wrap done too.
Lots of expense for an april fools joke.
Mike and I are very excited to be representing Brawndo: The Thirst Mutilator. It isn't like other energy drinks, either in its content or marketing. Brawndo: The Thirst Mutilator is the first to market Sport/Energy Hybrid, meaning it possesses the benefits of a sports drink and the caffeine and pick me up of an energy drink without the crash. I also believe Mike Judge is a genius, and enjoy the fact that the drink has a back-story with the movie Idiocracy. You can pick up some Brawndo yourself at http://www.drinkbrawndo.com.
Thank you for your support of the Redux Beverages/Brawndo Honda race program.

I thought Brawdo was ex-Cocaine? They rebranded to be able to get more access to action sports and the market in general.
Mike Judge of King of the Hill Fame ?
Money will not be a problem

I would suggest you go rent "Idiocracy", the film from whence this drink's name was derived.
It's quite funny.

I thought it was a joke. Who knows.
