Watched the race yesterday on TV (saw it live on Saturday) and I was expecting some crazy take out move by Short. But honestly IMHO it was a little bump, and it looked unintentional. Reed came in and hit Short's front wheel and Short tries to square up on him and Reed's bike slides out a litlte and he comes back towards the inside of the turn.
I don't know how you could see that as a blatant takeout attempt.

Three corners from the end on the last lap, and you've been leading all race, HELL NO you don't want to just roll over for someone. Glad to see that Short has got some fight in him. Reminds me of the exchange that him and Ferry had at Atlanta. Just given him a little love back!

Here is right before it. From the pic it doesn't look like Short could even catch him! Laughing out loud

To be perfectly honest Short is one of the nocest guys I have ever met, but he is the dirtiest rider in the WORLD! One year at Mammoth he tried to grab my front brake lever down a the back straight away. I was like r u kidding me?? We were going so fast and he's reaching over to grab my lever. It scared me so bad that I let off and he passed me. I guess it worked, but in the same weekend on the start he leaned over and kicked Hansen on the up hill right out of the gate. I could'nt belive my eyes! Two years ago in Dallas while I was on my second lap of practice he plowed into me. I wasnt having it so there was a under-over the next turn so i put him into the side of the wall. This is when he was in the title shot with
GL. Let me just tell you while I was in 14th in the Main event and hes coming to lap me I didnt make it very easy for him to pass me. I respect as a dedicated Athelete and good face for our sport but when he puts that helmet on he turns his Brain off. Ya he hit Reed on purpose and if thats how he wants to ride so be it but I'm telling you right now I'm the only rider who feels this way. If your other racers dont respect you then it will be a long carrer nto say the least!

That is really interesting... what a great perspective from someone who's actually been on the track with him. Shorty should just focus on his riding and not the on track hi-jinx. I watched him throw the title away at Freestone, it was to bad after such a great 1st moto, seemed like a total lack of focus.

I want to make it straight that Andrew short is a great guy and takes his job very serious but he is not a guy you want to horse around with. I understand once the gate drops you do whatever it takes but there is a line that can be crossed! If you read Shortys colum in Transworld this month and lst month it talks about how he wasnt having fun racing and he was bummed about that. It looks like he is having more fun and his resluts show! There is no doubt he puts in 110% all the time
