MXA online reports the rumors that have been heard for a while, that One would come with gear and Nike produce a boot.

what I think: Smile

I think that there is a part of One Ind that would be really keen to produce limited edition gear and the other part that wasn't keen on entering this very competitive market. Now that T7G has brought the mega $$ in, why not. That would be awesome. But let's not forget that T7G is also part owner of 661 and with the arrival of Big E.... why not.

Nike is definitely studying and developing ideas. A few people in the industry are pushing them to go ahead. Starting with the boot first but following up with gear is one of the thousands of plans that could come up. I believe that if Nike launch MX gear they will rule the market thanks to their very good hand on technology, their strong buying power and very low manufacturing costs. A Nike boot, not sure I'd go for that, but Nike MX gear, for sure... Interesting.

I bet One will do some really cool retro stuff like they have done with the helmets. i.e. JT inspired styles etc.

Nike boots would have to be really innovative, like the Scott "Genius" boot. If they could insert cutting edge safety functions... Nike has got a good grasp on style. Could be cool.
