Suzuki 2010's

Did they release the 2010's to dealers this year or just wait till 2011? I know there are 50 stateside because the are racing them. If the are released, why were they released late just economy damage control?
actually, after listening to the DV podcast, I realized I was wrong, Steve said they changed the rule from 500 to 50 units only at dealerships. Eazy-breezy!
It is my understanding that only 50 2010's were released to comply with the (temporarily lowered from 400 units to 50 units) homologation rule. And the reason the 2010's are/were held back is to clear out remaining 2008 & 2009 stock that exists throughout the US. This is also why in 2010, some manufacturers are allowing contingency bonuses to be paid out to bikes that are three years old, instead of sticking to the requirement that the bike be less than 2 years old. Simply because there are still 2008's on the showroom floors.
Edited to add: I've also heard that certain 2010 Suzuki models will not even be manufactured, and production of those models is scheduled to proceed in 2011. So, for certain models, there will be no such thing as a 2010 Suzuki. (I have no idea which models though, but I would guess certain budget road bikes are in this category.)
Interestingly, I stumbled upon what I believe is the list of 2010 Suzuki imports so far.
NADA 2010 Suzukis - Only three models so far.
I guess these are based upon import manifests. Honda, while importing many more 2010 models than Suzuki, also has an abbreviated list. Kawasaki & Yamaha have fairly long lists, but I didn't check to see if every current model is listed for those two manufacturers.

Isn't it supposed to be that they have to have a minimum of 500 (i/o 50) in dealerships to have the bikes authorized for AMA racing SX and MX?
I thought they were not bringing them and even heard RDC went to get his racing bikes in Canada?
