No GP press pass for Matthes

As a media guy, this bothers me a lot. If things are not working, the media reports it, brings it to light and it gets resolved, no?
So by their logic (whoever provisions press passes) every journo has to be positive and write about what a candy coated delight a GP is at the expense of the truth. In my opinion, this approach insults the general publics intelligence. This whole thing stinks and I have to wonder if anyone else was not approved. Looking around the net its difficult to find any moto site handing out the sunshine and lollipops about the GP, so why block Matthes? Well there is Motocros Action, but then again doesnt their editor have a vested interest in the event or something?
Makes me believe everything spewed out the GP media machine is nothing but lies, lies, lies.

Its shadier than a palm tree in LA, thats all I know. Its basically coersion all the way. With more GP's potentially heading back to the US, I see more problems arising from this. Matthes today...even more tomorrow...? Only way you will ever know what really went down at a GP is if you were physically there.

I couldn't get a real answer from Mario Marini (the USA GP press guy) about what it was that I wrote got me in trouble. I pointed out all I have done for the GP's but he wasn't having it. Finally another journalist told me that he heard it was the Pulpmx Show fake "Guiseppe" call that got me banned as well as some things that I have written in the Italian magazine, Motocross.
I have no idea when the fake Guiseppe is going to call in or what he's going to say but I have to admit that it is funny so I let it keep going. And the whole thing with the magazine, well I've been consistent the whole time with my feelings so thats what I wrote for them as well.
Whatever, it doesn't bother me. I'm out $130 bucks but thats ok, look at all the races I've gotten in free at in my life. No big deal.
well, that's what press is for, information, as pertinent as it may be sometimes. What Mario and Luongo like to read is propaganda and praising, like what they see on MXLarge, who is genuinely a fan of the series and therefore doesn't need to be forced to write what they want to read, eer

Its a three ring circus. If they won't let Matthes in because of a caller to the show, they gonna put a hit out on me.
Props for forking out the cash real Matthes. Motomedia needs someone like you.
Fake "Giuseppe" is out there. Sleep with with one eye open.

well, Youthstream has always been like that. Over pampering the press they want to have in their good books, and the press that only writes positive stuff about them and trying to get rid of the press that reports things like they are at times. The Euro press is usually invited ot the overseas events, like flights to Japan when there was a GP there. Someone got taken out of the list of passengers for writing an article that didn't paint the running of the GP in the nicest way.
when the promoter of a racing series walk around surrounded by mean-looking body-guards, you know something isn't that right.
Imagine DC collecting trash and prep'ing tracks surrounded by 4 gorillas, lol.
