He seems like very cool guy and I'm happy to see him do good. I was a bit sceptical how he would do with so little time on a 450.

I was able to watch the first motos last night finally and Metcalf was going fast. He looked different on the bike than the other riders though. It took me a while to figure it out but he looked like he was rideing a 500 2 stroke not a fourstroke. It was kind of like watching Mike LaRocco/Stanton/Kiedrowski.
Butt back coming into the turns with his head over the bars, pivot around the turn then open the throttle with maximum traction. Very little drifting the rear end around the way everyone else does it.
I like in his interviews after Hangtown how he expects to do better. Isnt it funny how with RC retired and Stewart not rideing the nationals that everyone thinks they are fast enough to win?
At one point in the first moto, he was the fastest guy on the track. Very impressive for sure.
