Jeff Passan's editorial on Jacobelis made me think

that a part of the MX world is not ready for real life. Passan is harsh at time, but pretty much telling it like it is and not holding on. Is Jacobelis going to hunt him down the slope with her board? no, she's going to take it in, tuck down and move on, trying her best to stay at the top in US women snowboard.
Some are lucky Matthes is not joined by Passan to report on MX and not just whip cream it up to make them feel good. Reporting is telling it like it is, it is not keeping some info out because they may upset the rider or his team.
I agree...journalists are supposed to call it as they see it, backed by facts, without the sugar coating. The truth may hurt, but it is what it is. I like the way Matthes approaches his reporting...he keeps it real!
