The hosts of the MotoShow, Mattes & Crew
Just saw this one on Vital http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/MotoRelated,20/Welcome-to-the-Kenny-Watson...
What do you guys think? I have to say that I actually really enjoy the addition of Kenny, I think he brings some good stuff, good stories, represent another part of the industry.
The Motoshow is Great! They are working through the problems and I think we all understand. I think Kenny is a great addition, and Matthes does a good job of keeping him in check (like telling him to stop cutting off the guests). You can't deny the guy has some great stories and inside knowledge. All three of them together bring a great perspective and way more inside knowledge than the other internet shows (I listen to them all weekly at work on the ipod).
One thing though, what about KW talking so openly about cheater bikes? I knew they were out there, but I'm suprised he talkes so openly about running them for ongoing years it sounded like? I knew some really fast privateer kids who were trying to qualify in those days, working hard during the week, little money, barely making enough to get to the races and they were on legit bikes. I figured the cheaters were few and far. How many legit modded 125's were on the line back then? Kind of frustrating, guess I'm not sure on how much faster it made his riders....

The "Moto Show" is great, it's new and different, I am not a big fan of other shows currently airing, but that is down to personal preference. Each character on Moto Show has their place and POV. Paul is really solid and gets in the sponsor plugs like a champ, he's a former rider, manager, and now agent so lots of experience to draw on. Steve brings his background and relationships with riders, team managers etc. It is super difficult for me to like KW, I used to see him at Perris Raceway in the early 90's and wasn't much of a fan of his new school ways, I skew more towards being a moto traditionalist and fit in more with that aesthetic. Having said that I don't really know him personally, and after listening to him on a prior podcast and now on the Moto show, he brings solid moto knowledge, an interesting perspective, some great storytelling skills and I think he is a good fit for the dynamic of the show. He seems like a good dude and he's pretty funny.

I completely agree...
I like the show. 3 different dudes and they each bring something to the table. As long as they do not constantly try to talk over each other, Im good with the lineup. I tried listening to one of the first shows and I turned it off because Steve and Paul just kept interupting eachother during the opening part of the show.
Let Paul have his monologue at the beginning of the show, then let Steve do most of the interview with Watson interjecting when he has something relevant to say. Seems like a workable format to me.

I like what Watson brings to the show. It's funny when Steve keeps him in check
like not allowing him to touch the computer. There may be a little big leaguing
going on. Almost expect to hear "could you do it" but that's OK.
I just hope the MotoShow continues to try and be an objective show and not just kiss up to a rider because they are a rider.
There is no reason to argue over the big 3 motorcycle shows they're all good for a differnt reason. Plus it's cool to listen to a new shoe 3 nights in a row.
Wish Lindsey wasn't on the phone so much
