Old idea comes back both from Scott USA and now Jett Boots. The Scott Genius Boot has been on the market for a couple of years is apparently going through a redesign per Tallon Vohland and his podcast with Matthes, the new boot should be on the market in the coming year(
. Do you think this will be the way of the future in boot design and will more boot companies follow. Could these boots provide such solid ankle and foot protection that they become the new "Leatt" of the boot world. Obviously injuries in motocross are anticipated but would you wear something that looks kinda different if it offered superior support to other products. Thoughts?
I like those Jet boots!
I think they are safer for the feet and ankles, but at what cost? And I say this only as it applies to myself. My knees are bad and have been operated on several times. Heavy and stiff boots make them hurt and crashes feel like the force is going right into the knee instead of begin dissipated through the leg.

i think so. the boot has less chance of letting the rider get hurt if there is a hinge, and not just leather, so it bend at the one point and not others. i just had a case of this, i fell, and the boot flexed to much at the balls of my feet and broke the bone behind the toe. personaly, im vegetarian, so i might be biest. i had a buddy who droped the cash for the scotts and said they were stiff, but personally i like the stiff/new boot feel. ill get them once the price come down to something reasonable like i did with the adventure leatt.
